Abhishek Tiwari received the
Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in computer science from the Indian Institute
of Technology (IIT), Kanpur
in 2003. While at IIT Kanpur, Abhishek was selected
for the Aditya Birla
Scholarship, awarded to only 10
students from all IITs, for academic excellence
and humane leadership values. After graduating from IIT Kanpur, he joined the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC)
for graduate studies in computer science in 2003. He received the Master of
Science (MS) degree in 2005, and currently he is a PhD candidate in the field
of computer architecture. At UIUC, Abhishek was awarded the ILLIAC fellowship for three
consecutive years.
Abhishek has authored papers in top conferences of
computer architecture. He has received a best paper award, and one of his
papers was selected for the IEEE Micro Top Picks in Computer Architecture. Abhishek's current research focuses on making nanoscale microprocessors reliable and power efficient.
He is a member of the Bhaktivedanta Institute and the American Association
for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
