D.NARAYANA DUTT obtained his PhD degree in Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. He has been a member of faculty in the same Institute for the past several decades. He has been working for the past several decades in the area of applications of digital signal processing to the analysis of biomedical signals, in particular brain signals. He has published a large number of papers in this area in leading international journals. He has been collaborating with researchers from NIMHANS, Bangalore for the past several decades in applying signal processing techniques to various problems in the area of neuroscience. He has applied several mathematical techniques to study signals from the brain of subjects in meditation.
