Professor Anil Sahasrabudhe

Professor Sahasrabudhe has been a brilliant student securing consistently high marks throughout his academic career. He has been a recipient of National Merit Scholarship of Government of India.

He did his Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Karnataka University securing first rank in all ten semesters and a Gold Medal. He did his Master of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore with Distinction. After completing the Master’s degree, he worked with Tata Consulting Engineers, in Bangalore and Bombay before taking up the PhD work.

He did his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

He began his teaching career in the remote North Eastern region of the country in North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh in its formative years which had conceived a novel modular academic programme. He joined Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati again in its formative years and served there in various capacities like Head of the Department, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Deputy Director. He is currently on deputation to College of Engineering, Pune a 153 year old institution as its Director.

Professor Sahasrabudhe has organized a number of seminars and conferences. His areas of interest include acoustics, vibration and noise control, CAD/CAM. He has published a number of research papers in these areas and presented papers in International conferences. He has also been involved in a number of sponsored research and consultancy projects. He is a member/fellow of several professional societies.
