Tirupati is one of the major tourist pilgrimage destinations of India.  Tirupati is well connected to the rest of the country by rail, road and air.  There are direct air services from Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Visakhapatnam.  Indian Airlines, Jet Airways and Air Deccan operate regular flights to and from Tirupati.  The flight timings are also convenient to provide transit options from different metros.

 

There are numerous trains that connect Tirupati to the rest of the country and also via transit stations Gudur and Renigunta. 

 

Tirupati can be also reached by road from cities like  Gudur, Renigunta, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada.

 

 

Trains connecting Tirupati

There are good number of trains connecting Tirupati to metros and major cities namely New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Mysore and Pune.  In some cases, trains do not reach Tirupati but pass through near by stations Renigunta and Gudur.  In such cases, one has to arrive to Tirupati by road from Renigunta (10 kms) and Gudur (100 kms).

Flights to Tirupati

There are direct flights from Tirupati offered by Indian Airlines, Air Deccan and Jet Airways from Bangalore, Hyderabad, Vizag and Chennai. The airport is located about 15 kms from the city.  For those who would like to travel from other metros to Tirupati by flight, it can be understood from the above itenary that flights from Hyderabad and Chennai are scheduled in the later half of the day and hence, connecting flights in transit should be comfortable.  For booking direct and transit flights, please visit:
