About the Journal

Savijnanam - Scientific Exploration for a Spiritual Paradigm is the flagship journal of the Bhaktivedanta Institute. The institute was founded in 1974 by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada (1896-1977), one of the greatest spiritual ambassadors of India to the world.

One of the main aims of the journal is to explore the close link between science and spirituality. This journal will serve as an open forum where thoughts and dialogues of prominent thinkers of the world relating to spiritual paradigms can be scientifically presented. We will make a humble attempt to generate some interest among scholars seeking to resolve some of the current ethical problems in biengineering and biotechnology, for example cloning, among others. We also hope to generate certain guidelines for global ethics and world peace by investigating the important connection between scientific knowledge and spirituality.

We hope that the articles in this journal will provide readers with further insights into their search for the meaning and nature of life, particularly the human form of life.
